From it comes out beautiful blankets, pillowcases, tablemats, sweaters & shawls. Traditional designs include the geometric “binakol” or “inuritan”, the spiral “kusikos” & the flower called “sinan-sabong”. WebSpaniards arrived in Cebu in 1521, they noted that the natives were wearing clothes made from the fiber of the abaca plant and weaving of the abaca fiber was already widespread in the island.
