Show up, give them your money, sit through a few ground sessions, then do a few takeoffs and landings in the sim and they hand you a piece of paper that says you are SIC qualified. Yeah if the PIC is a CFI you could log everything as dual received and you can get the extremely coveted CE-525 SIC rating (/s), but it’s not really any extremely special time.
